Let's Start Comparing Notes on each VA Regional Office.

va regional officeVeterans need to watch each others' backs.

Congress sure as hell doesn't have our back....the VA is trying to put a knife in it....and VSOs are increasingly becoming irrelevant.

What am I talking about?

Let me tell you a story.

Recently, I was having difficulty getting a particular VA Regional Office to set a DRO or BVA hearing in one of our appeals.  3 years after filing a Notice of Disagreement (NOD), and even the Attorney Fee Coordinator wouldn't call me back.

My client is dying from a chronic condition, and I was tired of playing the VA's "Lets-stall-on-claims-with-attorneys-then-call-them-money-grubbing-game".

So I went on Facebook.

I asked some Veterans that had battled the VA for decades if they knew anyone inside this VA Regional Office that wanted to HELP a Veteran. Within 3o minutes, my Firm had a call from the VA Service Center Manager's assistant.

Within 3 days, we had a DRO hearing set.   Yesterday, we had the hearing.  Have to tell you - I haven't talked to a DRO that knowledgeable about the law in years.  He was a pleasure to work with, and committed to moving the case forward.

This, my friends, is the power of Social Media.  A Veteran connected us to the one person in the VA that wanted to help our client.  And we will likely see results in under 60 days.

Veterans Have MORE Power than they Know.

Many of us have been around the block with more than one VA Regional Office.  We get to know people inside - and  so they get reputations.  Some of them really want to help Veterans. Others are just part of the problem.

By sharing information about the VA Regional Offices, we can educate and inform each other about how to get our claims moved through more easily.

Here's what I am going to do.

Over time, I will add a page for each VA Regional Office on the Veterans Law Blog.  On each page, I will list the contact information, experiences, news stories, etc., that we are able to get  from Veterans like you.

Here's a sample page for the VA Regional Office Los Angeles California.

Where will we get information to fill up these Pages?

From you

If you have ANY information you want to  share about this VA Regional Office, you can do so confidentially using the form just below this paragraph.

This is informational only, so the Attig Law Firm isn't going to take any action on submissions using this form - other than reposting it on the page for other Veterans to read.  We'll keep it anonymous unless you tell us to use your name.

Please share this page wide and far - the more input we have from more Veterans, the more helpful these pages become.

I will keep adding Regional Offices based on how much Feedback you give.

Fill out this form, and share information you have about YOUR VA Regional Office - the more feedback I get on each VA Regional Office, the sooner I can add a page for that Regional Office.

This is how we, as Veterans, watch each other's back.
