5 Paths to Service Connection

It is my experience that most Veterans  think of "service-connection" as the GOAL of their claim.

The  VA, the BVA and the CAVC all think of the term as a means of proving you are entitled to benefits.

Why does this difference matter?

If you don't know the different PATHS to service-connection, it will take you a much longer time to convince the VA to grant your claim.

In fact, it has been my experience that most Veterans use just one of the 5 paths to service-connection; experience has taught me that they should be looking for at least 2-3 ways to prove the same condition is related to military service.

Want to learn more about the 5 Legal Theories that can lead to service-connection of a military injury in a VA Claim?

This eBook lays out the elements of those 5 legal theories - or paths:

* Direct Service Connection (2 Paths)

* Secondary Service Connection

* Service Connection by Aggravation

* Service Connection by Legal Presumption

* Service Connection due to VA Medical Negligence

If you want a basic understanding of the 5 common paths to proving  a "nexus" between your military service and your current disability/injury/illness, then this eBook is for you.
