How's the VA doing this Monday? (October 15, 2012)

Every Monday Morning, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) releases its Monday Morning Workload Reports (MMWR).

So how is the VA looking this week, October 15, 2012?

67.6% of Original Veterans Claims are taking over 125 days to process.  Here's the same category for the VA Regional Offices (VARO) that the Attig Law Firm focuses claims on:

Waco, Texas: 76.6%

Little Rock, Arkansas: 62.7%

Denver, Colorado: 60.0%

Montgomery, Alabama: 67.6%

41% of Initial Survivor Benefits Claims are taking over 125 days to process.

67.2% of Increased Evaluation Claims are taking over 125 days.

28.6% of Agent Orange / Reopened Claims are taking over 125 days to process.

The VA took over 125 days to respond to 46.5% of its FOIA Requests.  (This is curious, since the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires government responses within twenty (20) days of being received by that Agency.

Most of these are claims for a Veterans C-Files, or Claims File.

The VA has 12,147 Accrued Benefits claims pending (Accrued Benefits are, generally, benefits not paid prior to the death of a Veteran or survivor based upon a pending claim at the time of the Veteran's death, which is later granted).  Here's the same category for the VA Regional Offices (VARO) that the Attig Law Firm focuses claims on:
