The Attig Law Firm represents Federal Employees in their EEOC Complaints against their Federal Employing Agency. There are not many firms or attorneys that handle these kinds of cases. For that reason, we are able to represent Federal Employees nationwide (and in some cases, Federal employees stationed overseas).

The EEOC is charged with enforcing many anti-discrimination laws. Attig Law Firm represents federal employees in the following administrative claims before the EEOC:

  • Discrimination complaints based on race, color, and/or national origin
  • Sexual discrimination and sexual harassment claims
  • Reprisal and retaliation claims
  • Age discrimination claims
  • Religious discrimination claims
  • Hostile Work Environment and Harassment Claims.
  • Disability discrimination and Reasonable Accommodation claims or requests

The Administrative Process for Federal Employees filing EEO Complaints is a very daunting process that starts with filing a request for EEO Counseling, is followed by a Formal Complaint of Discrimination, an EEOC Hearing request before an Administrative Judge or requesting a written Final Agency Decision, with certain timelines for filing suit in Federal District Court. I am convinced that the purpose of this convoluted administrative remedy process is to prevent claims of discrimination not by remedying discrimination but by exhausting the employees who claim discrimination.

Any Federal Employee seeking to file a complaint of discrimination should understand exactly what the road ahead will bring. The Attig Law Firm, PLLC, can help you to see that road through consultations and in some cases, representation as your attorney. If you are a Federal Employee considering filing, or who has already filed, a complaint of discrimination against your Federal Agency, contact the Attig Law Firm, PLLC, for an initial consultation.
